We are currently seeking a VR GP for a locum placement at our Wilcannia Health and Well-being Centre. This position is ideal for someone with experience in Aboriginal health or working in rural and remote communities.
Role Overview:
Based exclusively at the Wilcannia Health and Well-being Centre (not part of the Local Health District, though located on the same site).
Clinic hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
No weekends, no on-call, and no after-hours work required.
This is a clinic-only role – no hospital or VMO responsibilities.
Contract rate: $1,800 per day (ABN).
Dates: Monday 1st September to Friday 26th September (4 weeks).

Fully furnished, self-contained accommodation just 100 metres from the clinic, complete with air conditioning and Wi-Fi.
Vehicle provided for local use.
Return flights to Broken Hill at the start and end of the locum.
A car will be waiting at Broken Hill Airport for the 200km drive to Wilcannia.
Optional weekend accommodation in Broken Hill (Friday–Sunday) can be arranged to give you time to explore and enjoy the region.

Located on Wilyakali country, part of the Baakintji nation, Wilcannia is a historic town along the Darling River in north-western NSW. Current AHPRA registration
